Company History
In 2003, Nitrylite Fibers was founded by Stephen Brauer and Michael Cretella, who saw a need in the high performance fibers market for new fiber derivatives in chopped and milled form, and to address fiber surface chemistries affecting the fiber – matrix bonds in various types of composites. Brauer and Cretella have their roots in carbon fiber, composites and specialty chemical businesses. The key to Nitrylite’s success is the ability to combine the application experience of Nitrylite’s technical team and offer novel solutions to the industries it serves.
The Nitrylite partners have drawn from their pre-existing relationships with polymer and fiber manufacturers in N. America, Europe and Asia, and built cooperative manufacturing arrangements to service the Material Science Industries. It is through these partnerships, and through the innovative products of Nitrylite Fibers that will drive success.
